It took a little searching to get our hands on this material, but it was well worth it.

Mixed by the same engineer that produced the first album of The Dears, this little demo contains a flock of little gems, like Ride on Jane that evokes a period where Montreal’s indie-rock scene was all the talk. The song How did you know, in contrast, is an excellent example of what you were going to hear walking into montreal’s establishment around 2006 – A little indie, very grinny, and evocative.

However great the music is, the band didn’t survive one of the many twists and turns that will ponctuate any band’s life. However, certain founding members of the dustjackets are still at it with the band First you get the sugar, an indie rock/pop band that’s pretty well established in and around Montreal. Adam K., the main actor behind theses two acts, is still hard at work towards his arts and his creation.
