Sarcastic yet humoristic, Josie la Noiresoeur proposes something that’s quite different to feed your humor’s dark side, and the little devil in you. Organized around the theme of mental illness, the band proposes something that’s pop enough to meet the masses, but hard enough to please rock lovers, that bear ears to music like famous UK act Muse, or the well-known Quebecer Marie-Mai, but with a little more songwriting involved.The goal is simple – “I want to make music that I like with people that I like that are open minded, and that talks about things that are dear to me.”, says Josiane Rouette, artist / trumpetist / singer / leader of the project.

And apparently, it’s working – The demo appeared thanks to the the program “Jeune volontaire” and is getting constant attention by a flock of followers that apparently grew fond of some of the works, and the song “déserres ta cravate”, as well as “Le monde est méchant” seems to be standing the test of time very well. The band is currently in composition period for an eventual production and subsequent release.
