BIOGRAPHYTo amateurs of francophone folk, sweet guitars and low down gravey voices: Meet Jean-Francois Morin, a Montrealer author composer and performer, poly-instrumentist that proposes a different blend of folk, that explores a musical niche somewhere in between Beck and Leonard Cohen. Jean-Francois likes to take his time before coming out with material – So the album was in production for a little over 3 years, produced by long time friend Mathieu C. The album was then remixed by Julien Fortin and Sebastien H.Blanchard. The mini album is a debut effort for the artist that has a truly solid track record behind him. Even for those that haven’t heard, he’s had the priviledge of having his original material discovered in Europe and a little throughout the province, as well as composing a few scores for films, and currently contributes to the success of a few montreal artists, such as Marie Tresanini, Nadia & the thotchkes and the group Lam. You may as well visit his myspace for further information. |
